+Does Five Penny work with professional wedding planners and designers?
Yes, we do. I love working with other creatives in the business. We work side by side with wedding planners and designers to create the most perfect memorable event for you and your guests.
+Does Five Penny have a minimum for weddings?
Yes, we have a $1,500 minimum that we require to design, consult, set up and deliver the floral design for your day.
+What should I expect for my deposit?
Five Penny requires a 50% deposit in order to lock in the date, time, initial floral order and wedding venue. Deposits can be made at our initial meeting or when the estimate has been agreed upon.
+Do you use seasonal flowers?
Yes, we prefer using flowers when they are in season. Just like food, they are at their best when in season – they are fresher, more vibrant, better quality and more economical.
+Does Five Penny grow any of its own flowers or foliage?
In my home garden and studio, I grow more than 55 peonies, 36 David Austin Garden Roses, hundreds of tulips and daffodils, dahlias, various greens and foliage, magnolias, herbs and berries.
+Do you source locally?
Yes! We have developed a fine collection of local grower and producers, which continues to grow as we do. I love being able to source the perfect flowers for my clients, and local is always better.
+When is the final payment due?
The final payment can be made at any time, however it is required 21 days prior to the event.
+What should I expect
at our first consultation?
You should come expecting to share your ideas and inspiration for your wedding day. I like to know what look and feel you are going for, as well as any themes that you would like to have incorporated into the design. We usually meet for an hour or so, depending on what is needed and how elaborate the design will be.
+Does Five Penny charge for consultation time?
We do not, however, if you request a detailed estimate a $100 nonrefundable fee will be charged. This $100 can be used towards your wedding.
+Are there any materials that Five Penny will not use in its designs?
We will not use silk flowers in any of our designs, unless that is the only option to get our bride what she wants. We will also not use any flowers or greenery that was not purchased from Five Penny Floral.
+Does Five Penny Floral have an exclusivity clause?
We do require our clients use us exclusively for all their floral needs on their wedding day. This means that we will design everything from your bridal bouquet to centerpieces and ceremony décor. Please, do not request the services of other floral vendors for your wedding day.
+Does Five Penny travel?
Yes, we travel and think destination weddings are great! We are always up for a design challenge in a beautiful location.
